 GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday chaired a District Commissioners' Conference held at the Brahmaputra State Guest House located at Kharghuli Hills in Guwahati. Chief Minister Dr. Sarma took stock of the progress of various ongoing and upcoming policies such as Amrit Brikkha Andolan, Khel Maharan, Assam Sanskritic Mahasangram, Orunodoi 2.0, the National Food Security Act, and paddy and mustard procurement from farmers, among others. On Amrit Brikkha Andolan, the Chief Minister asked the concerned officials to ensure the mega-plantation drive witnessed the mass participation of members of the general public. Speaking on the upcoming Khel Maharan and Assam Sanskritic Mahasangram, the Chief Minister exuded confidence that these two schemes would provide a potent platform for the hidden talents of the state. He asked the District Commissioners to personally monitor the preparations for Khel Maharan and Assam Sanskritic Mahasangram and also appoint nodal officers for the same in their respective districts. Chief Minister Dr. Sarma also took stock of the districts' progress on the addition of new beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act and directed the District Commissioners to complete the entire process within a stipulated timeframe of about 3-4 months. The Chief Minister also inquired about the progress of the ongoing Mission Basundhara 2.0 and asked the District Commissioners to see that there was no delay in the administrative procedures for the same.

The Chief Minister also assured the District Commissioners of all cooperation and support from his office in the formers official obligations. Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Jogen Mohan, Chief Secretary Paban Kumar Borthakur, and a host of other senior officials also attended the conference, stated a press release.
