GUWAHATI: A motorcycle rider died on the spot after meeting with an accident on the Ganeshguri flyover at around 2 am, while another person was grievously injured in the incident.
According to police sources, it is suspected that the motorcycle (AS01FA- 5810) rammed into a truck from behind at the speed-breaker on the flyover. While Rahul Thakur (30) of Hastina Nagar in Bhangagarh died instantaneously, his companion Bikash Thakur sustained injuries and has been admitted to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
