GUWAHATI: In between the celebrations of Eid-ul-Fitr, an argument turned violent after one person stabbed another with a sharp machete. They both stayed at a rented place. This happened near the Narengi railway line in Guwahati. The Noonmati police arrived immediately at the scene after receiving a call reporting an assault in the area.
The person has been identified as Rajen Musahary, and Jugeswar Medhi has been apprehended by the police. The injured youth has been taken to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) in the meantime for treatment. Further investigation is undertaken.
