ICAI CA Foundation Exam Starts Today: Checklist & Guidelines For Students

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to conduct the Chartered Accountant Course examination from today onwards.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has decided to conduct the Chartered Accountant Course examination from Monday 13 December. The examinations will be continued on the dates of 15 December, 17 December and will be concluded by 19 December.

It is informed that Paper 1 and Paper 2 of CA Foundation Exams are scheduled to be held for the time period of 3 hours starting from 2 PM and ending at 5 PM. On the other hand Paper 4 and Paper, 5 will be held for the time duration of 2 hours.

To appear in the CA Foundation examination the candidates must carry their admit cards as there will be no entry into the exam hall without the admit cards. Candidates can download their e-admit cards from the official website of ICAI which is icaiexam.icai.org. In the case of a minor candidate, he/she must have an undertaking signed by a guardian or parents.

Along with admit cards the candidates must carry important items such as H.B (hard black) pencil, Face Mask, Identity Proof, Eraser, Water Bottle and Sanitizer.

All the candidates will be permitted to enter the examination hall from 1 PM and will be allowed to leave after the end of their examination at 4 PM. Candidates must strictly adhere to the rules and regulations and maintain COVID protocols.

Here are the steps to download ICAI CA Foundation Exam Admit cards:

  1. Visit the site of icai.exam.icai.org.
  2. Select the window of login.
  3. Enter the login credentials such as registration number (login ID) and password.
  4. Click on the option 'Submit' after entering the login details.
  5. Candidates can access their admit cards.
  6. Download the e-admit card of the CA Foundation to carry into the exam hall.

How to fill the OMR (Optical mark recognition) sheets ICAI CA Foundation Exam:

  • Use H.B pencil to mark the correct answers in the OMR sheet.
  • The candidates need to darken the circle of right answers in the question booklet.
  • Darken the circle completely to avoid any misunderstanding.
  • On changing the answers erase the earlier chosen answer and then mark newly.
  • Candidates must note that the OMR sheet is not meant for any rough work.
