GUWAHATI, Aug 11: Former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has said that Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal, Fince Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary have failed utterly needing the RSS to review their performances. The development, Gogoi said, has also proved beyond doubt that the Government at Dispur is being run by the RSS, not by the BJP-AGP-BPF combine.  A meeting involving BJP leaders, the Chief Minister, a few Cabinet leaders, some leaders of the RSS and the Chief Secretary reviewed the performance of the State Government at Brahmaputra Guest House at Kharguli in the city in Thursday evening. Talking to newsmen in the city on Friday, Gogoi said: “How come the RSS reviews the performance of the government? This has made it crystal clear that the Government is run by the RSS, not by the AGP-BJP-BPF. The presence of the Chief Secretary at a meeting with the BJP and the RSS doesn’t augur well for the government. It’s unprecedented and beyond ones understanding”. Gogoi alleged that the six-month extension of the term of the Chief Secretary was done as the RSS had wanted it.
