The AIDS Control Programme in Assam was started as a State AIDS Cell which was established in the year 1992 in the office of the Director of Health Services, Assam under the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) for implementing the National AIDS Control Programme (NACP) Phase I. One State AIDS Programme Officer in the rank of Jt. Director of Health Services was appointed to run the programme and other officers and staffs were also appointed as per guideline. The State AIDS Cell of Assam had followed the National AIDS Prevention Policy, Govt. of India for implementing the AIDS Control Programme in Assam. The first phase of the National AIDS Control Programme came to its end in the year 1997 and was extended up to 1998. Medical Officer | For ART Centre : MBBS passed. Preference will be given to candidates trained by NACO at one of the NACO designated training centre. The candidates must have registration with the valid Medical Council. For OST Centre : MBBS passed. Candidates with MD in Psychiatry/Diploma in Psychiatry Medicine will be preferred. The candidates must have valid registration with the concerned Medical Council. |
Counsellor | Post Graduate degree / diploma in Psychology / Social Work / Sociology/Anthropology/Human Development / Nursing with minimum 1 year experience of working in the field of counseling in health sector, preferably in HIV / AIDS after PG degree / diploma For people living with HIV/AIDS(PLHIV), Graduate in Psychology/ Social Work/ SocioIogy / Anthropology/ Human Development/Nursing with minimum 1 year experience of working in the field of counseling in health sector, preferably in HIV / AIDS Diploma in Computer Applications from a Govt. recognized institute. Candidates should be proficient to read and write in English and in local language |
Data Manager | Graduate (preferably with commerce background) with Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized institute or university or "O" Level course from DOEACC |
Staff Nurse | For ART Centre : B. Sc Nursing / GNM with minimum 1 (one) year of experience. ANM with minimum 3 years of experience. Must be registered in the concerned state nursing council. For OST Centre : ANM from Govt. recognized institutions. Diploma Nursing/B.Sc. Nursing will be preferred. The candidates must have valid registration with the concerned Nursing Council. |
Pharmacist | Degree in Pharmacy from a recognised institute with 1(one) year experience or Diploma in pharmacy with 3 (three) years of experience in health care institution. Must be registered in the concerned state pharmacy council. |
Care Coordinator | Minimum 12th standard passed. The candidate should be a PLHIV (People living in HIV). Must have working knowledge of English and local language. |
