Guwahati: To create a new era in Critical Care in Assam and the entire North East, Hayat Hospital in association with Hayat Foundation is organizing for the very first time an All India Workshop cum CME, matching International standards in Guwahati. In the CME to be organized on Saturday, renowned international speaker and Senior Critical Care Specialist of Medanta Medicity, Gurgaon, Dr. Prashanta Kumar and Dr. Rajat Gupta, Head of Department of Critical Care Medicine, Action Medical Institute of Delhi, will take part as distinguished speakers.

Addressing a press conference at Hayat Hospital on Friday, Dr. Bishnu Kr Deka, Head of Cardiac – Surgery Deptt. of Hayat Hospital revealed the details and mentioned that the programme will create a new era in the field of critical care in Assam and North East India. Along with the two internationally acclaimed doctors in the workshop, several renowned doctors from the Northeast will also be present. Addressing the press conference, Critical Care Specialist of Hayat Hospital, Dr. Babu Pathak mentioned that there is a rapid growth in the number of seriously injured patients due to the increased number of road accidents and criminal activities. There is also an increase in the number of patients who reach critical stage due to delay in diagnosis of disease, stated a press release.
