New Delhi: Stocks of Balrampur Chinni hit a 52-week high of Rs 416.95 as it surged nearly 12 per cent on Tuesday.

At 2:30 PM, the shares were trading at Rs 416.10 which is a gain of rs 41.95 or 11.21 per cent.

Notably, on the other hand, Dhampur surged 12.16 per cent or 37.35 to 344.60. While Mawana sugars reached 10 per cent upper circuit to Rs 87.90.

Similarly, Dwarikesh Sugar surged nearly 16 per cent to trade on a 52-week high value of Rs 85.50 per share while Ugar Sugar works Ltd too witnessed a 10 per cent upper circuit to Rs 33.25 per share.

Due to the upbeat mood in the market and an improved outlook for the sugar space, sugar stocks have witnessed such a surge.

Meanwhile, according to Crisil, the sugar prices are expected to rise 16-17 per cent this season. Crisil further said that the sugar mills are expected to improve both in revenue and profitability in the 2022 season.
