The news of State Health and Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma diagnosed with kidney stone flooded the social media. Everybody is worried as to what will happen now if Sarma is not able to lead the fight against the COVID pandemic. This is quite natural as everyone has seen how dedicatedly he has been working for the last three months. It is due to him that COVID-19 has not had much effect in the State prior to the migrant workers, students and others coming back to the State. The mortality rate in the state for corona is very negligible, just 0.19 per cent. Medical experts treating him have said that there is nothing to worry. He has been advised to take rest. It is better for the minister to take rest for a day or two and continue to lead the fight against CIVID-19 from home through VDO conferencing, webinar etc.
