In 2014, in the month of June Mamata Banerjee made a highly questionable appointment to the upper house of the Indian Parliament. She selected Ahmed Hassan Imran to serve as MP. Despite multiple warnings from the District Intelligence Bureau that had red-flagged him for instigating violence against Hindus, including alleged participation in the Kolkata and Canning riots and sheltering known terrorists.

Who is Hassan Imran?

Imran Hassan is a Pakistani citizen, who entered India from East Pakistan in 1970-71.

Hassan, according to the intelligence agencies in both India and Bangladesh, was born in a village in Srihatta, Sylhet, in East Pakistan, and entered the country through its border with Assam, much before the birth of Bangladesh. Hassan first stayed in Dhubri in Assam, which has a strong Muslim population, but later shifted to Banarhat in Jalpaiguri district in North Bengal. In his affidavit before the Election Commission, he stated he passed Higher Secondary examinations in 1972 and is of 60 years old. However, he did not mention his citizenship, place and date of birth.

His father, a "Razakar", was responsible for killing a large number of Bengali intellectuals, while aiding the Pakistan Army during the Liberation War, intelligence reports mention.

His visits to Assam from West Bengal were monitored and he was found to be closely linked with several organizations close to the Pakistan's ISI. Hassan had visited the camps that were being run at Moulavi Bazar in Sylhet, in the 1980s, by an ISI Major. He maintained a façade while in Assam, saying he was a Leftist, since he was settled in CPM-ruled West Bengal. But, his agenda in Assam was clear cut and to some extent, he did succeed in consolidating anti-India forces here," it stated.

He is the founder and self-admitted member of the radical student group, the Student Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), a recognized terrorist organization banned by the Indian government. Hassan has worked with Jamat-e-Islami (JI), in fact is a "front man" for this pro-Saudi jihadist group supported by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). He also has ties to a chief official of the Islamic Development Bank, a Saudi entity that has financed Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood affiliate, the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR), an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism funding trial in the United States. JI and the ISI have been linked to efforts to take over the Indian state of Assam and separate it from India.

The Saudi-funded terrorist group Jamaat-ul-Mujahadeen, also linked to MP Hassan Imran, has a major base in West Bengal, including bomb-manufacturing units, and has used Wahhabi money to build mosques throughout the state. The Muslim call to prayer is blasted by loudspeaker from early in the morning to late at night and some thoroughfares in the Muslim districts of Kolkata are closed to all traffic for Friday prayers.

A confidential document revealed that Ahmed Hassan Imran was the mastermind behind the carnage at Naliakhali village where a Muslim mobs burned down over 200 Hindu homes in the villages of Naliakhali, Herobhanga, Gopalpur and Goladogra villages in the canning police station limits. Two dozen Hindu-owned shops were looted in the Jaynagar police limits under Baruipur subdivision. Incidents of violence were reported from Canning, Jaynagar, Kultali and Basanti police station areas.

The two-page report by the then district intelligence bureau (DIB) sent a detailed note to the district police superintendent (case no: 84 dtd 19.02.2013 u/s 394/302/307/153A IPC and 25/27 Arm Act). Excerpts from the letter (left), highlights Ahmed Hassan Imran's dubious role in the 2013 communal violence. It clearly mentioned that Imran was involved in instigating youths and sending them to the troubled area with bombs and other fire arms.

Hassan along with other associates of Mamata Banerjee are also implicated in a financial scandal—a Ponzi scheme with the Saradha Group, a major investigation of a consortium of 200 private companies that collected between $4 – 6 billion from over 1.7 million depositors before it collapsed, may bring down her reign in West Bengal.

He founded and edited a radical weekly magazine, Kalam, which he later turned into a daily newspaper, Dainik Kalam, and sold to the Saradha Group, a financial conglomerate with ties to West Bengal government officials. The publication has advocated for the establishment of Muslim-controlled areas in the state under Shariah.

Mamata Banerjee's Hassan, is believed to have acted as a liaison between Jamaat-e-Islami and the money launderers.

Now the question is why is Mamata going to such an extent for the love of her life? Is he a party to all the crimes?

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is a prime example of a political leader who expediently favours Muslim constituents, capitulates to their many demands and entices them with special benefits and privileges. The reality of Muslim vote bank politics, whereby an entire Muslim community votes along lines dictated by the local imam or religious leader, adds to the problem and furthers Muslim control of the state. Banerjee has gone so far in her Muslim sympathies as to publicly recite the Kalima Shahadat, the Islamic conversion prayer, in front of an audience of imams.

Because West Bengal's Muslims were largely responsible for her election as Chief Minister, Banerjee has made substantial payback.

1. She approved and validated the academic degrees of 10,000 previously unrecognized Saudi-funded and controlled Madrasas (Islamic colleges), four minarets (Muslim towers), honorariums for imams and an exclusively Islamic township.

2. Banerjee called for the establishment of Muslim medical, technical and nursing schools with special subsidies for Muslim students, as well as Muslim-only hospitals.

3. She has favored Muslims to the extent of distributing free bicycles and rail passes to female Muslim students and laptops to Muslim boys.

4. Banerjee's political party, the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), will most likely send more Islamists to serve in parliament in the future.

5. She safeguards, jihadist sleeper cells inhabit the area under her protection.

Meanwhile, the needs of Hindu refugees from Bangladesh are ignored, even as they continue being victimized in West Bengal. And incidents of Hindu citizens being attacked, killed, hanged are a daily new in Wet Bengal.
