Baharul Islam's directorial venture bags international award

Assamese film industry received a good news as the Assamese feature film 'The seventh string' brings back home DRUK international film festival award, winning the best film category and also receiving the nomination for prestigious "Golden Dragon award 2021".

This film conceived from Barkha Bahar penned story had a diverse cast of brilliant showman and actors- Kunal Sarma, Barkha Bahar, Jilmil Hazarika, Bhagirathi, Dinesh Kakati, Dr. Jayanta Das, Purnima Saikia , Rahul Gautam Sarma, Jeet Baruah, Siddhartha Mukherji, Rajiv Cro, Debojit Borthakur, Ashfaq khan, Nein Ibtisum, Prasanta Kalita etc. A 'Flying seagull production'-the film was shot before lockdown in various locations spreading through Assam and Mumbai.

Cinematography was executed by Pappu Deka and Kaju Majid was the editor on board, associated with Jumi. Birinchi Kumar Gogoi was in charge of the assistant direction and Art direction was done by Nur-Uddin Ahmed and Dibosh Jyoti Baruah.

The dubbing and sound editing was carried out in Guwahati's Jyoti Chitraban studio by Bijoy Kumar Nath's and later the Mumbai based sound designer Jyoti Chetia did the sound mixing and Sujit Borah was the Colorist for the film. The director of the film Baharul Islam was also the man responsible for the back ground score also. This film is scheduled to hit the theatres, this year end.

At present Baharul Islam is shooting at Ziro, Arunachal for a movie "Bhediya" in Hindi directed by Amar Kaushik, stated a press release.
