MUMBAI: According to rumours doing the rounds, actor Akshay Kumar charges anything between Rs 50 and 100 crores for each film. He dodged reporters' questions regarding the rates he typically demands for each film while he was speaking at the Selfiee trailer premiere event in Mumbai Sunday.

Emran Hashmi, Nushratt Bharuccha, and Diana Penty also have leading roles in Akshay's upcoming movie Selfiee. The movie is an action-comedy. Emraan Hashmi, who plays a police officer, would be depicted as Akshay's "biggest fan" and Akshay as a "superstar."

According to sources, Akshay told the reporter at the premiere of Selfiee's trailer, "My reaction is always good. What was your reaction? You told me you had a problem while wearing sherwani," the actor says.

Akshay also said, "Acha lagta hai na?" in response to the reporter's comment that he felt wonderful. "Aur Lagna bhi chahiye, kyunki positive batein hain na. Bhagwan Kare tere Sath bhi ho. (It feels great, isn't it? These are optimistic discussions, so you should feel pleased. I hope it happens with you too)," he continued.

It has been reported that Akshay previously discussed expensive movie tickets in India. There are a lot more things that need to be done, and not just by the players but also by the producers and theatres, he had stated. "I'll be honest with you: I want to cut my rates by 30% to 40%," the actor stated.

"Theatres need to be aware that this is a tough economic period. The quantity of money available to the audience for amusement is constrained. You cannot afford to spend that much on it. The entire world must transform. And not only in theatres. We need to work on my salary and the cost of filming the movie.  "Everything must be addressed," he further stated,
