MUMBAI: In a joint post, Bobby Deol and nephew Karan Deol describe how veteran actor Dharmendra celebrated his 87th birthday at home with a puja. Dharmendra is pictured wearing a shirt and pants and sitting in front of a holy fire while wearing a garland around his neck. Bobby and Karan, who are seated on either side, can be seen holding hands with him.
Bobby and Karan shared the image on their individual Instagram accounts, writing, Happy Birthday Bade papa @aapkadharam."
In the comments section, actor Vatsal Sheth also wished him a "Happiest birthday." Janamdin Mubarak to the legend was also written by actor Chandan Roy Sanyal. Rajniesh Duggall wished him a happy birthday and referred to him as "the legend/the OG superhero." We're all blessed to have Dharam Sir and very proud of his achievements & contributions to our industry, a fan wrote in the comment section. "Wonderful Birthday Dharam ji, wish you many many happy returns of the day," another person wrote. "Keep up the cheerful smile always," the person added.
Additionally, Hema Malini posted two images of herself with Dharmendra to Twitter with the caption,"Praying for dear Dharam ji's good health on his birthday today. Wish him a long and healthy life filled always with happiness and joy! My prayers will be with him today and every day of our lives. Happy birthday to the love of my life," the tweet read by Hema Malini.
In addition, Esha Deol posted a photo of him when he was younger on her Instagram Stories with the caption,"Happy birthday papa. Love you." She was spotted at the Salaam Venky screening on Wednesday.
Sources claim that Dharmendra will now appear in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, the forthcoming film Rocky Johar will direct. Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi are also featured in the movie. On April 28 of next year, it will open in theatres.
