MC Tod Fod Aka Dharmesh Parmar Dies At 24, Unknown Facts About The Gully Boy Rapper

Gully Boy rapper Dharmesh Parmar known by the stage name of MC Tod Fod passes away at the young age of 24 due to a sudden stroke on Sunday 20 March.

MUMBAI: In a piece of shocking news for the music industry and Bollywood, Dharmesh Parmar who was the rapper in the film Gully Boy passed away at the young age of 24.

On Sunday 20 March the rapper died due to a stroke after suffering from certain health issues as revealed by one of his close friends.

However, the exact cause of death is not yet known and an investigation has been initiated over the sudden demise of the young singer.

The rapper with the stage name MC Tod Fod has provided his voice for the song 'India 91' in 2019 movie Gully Boy directed by Zoya Akhtar starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and Siddhant Chaturvedi in leads.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar and actor Ranveer Singh took to their social media handles of Instagram to express grief over the death of MC Tod Fod by posting his picture on their post.

Actor Shiddhant Chaturvedi also updated his Instagram story sharing his last conversation with MC Tod Fod congratulating each other's performances.

Facts About MC Tod Fod:

The Gujarati rapper was closely associated with the socio-conscious hip-hop collective Swadeshi movement from Mumbai. Being a part of the Swadeshi group, Parmer performed with MC Mawali, Raakshahs, Maharya and Rappers 100 RBH.

The multilingual music group takes initiative in taking up socially relevant issues to help people in their connection with nature and the environment.

Most notably he was among the 50 rappers who lent voice for the movies by Zoya Akhtar for his hard-hitting verses that led him to earn a lot of fame.

His verses on some of the songs like 'The Warli Revolt' gained much popularity which brought him into the limelight making him the ultimate voice to stand for human rights and the environment.

Parmer has made several singles that include Plandemic, Truth and Bass that is released very recently on 8 March 2022.

At the beginning of his career, the rapper trained in Konnakal worked with Bandish Projekt on the songs such as 'Dakla' in 2016 and in 2018 he performed at the WOMEX festival held in Spain.
