After the success of the psycho-thriller movie Consequence, director Chandra Sekhar Das, winner of the Best Debut Director 2022 in Prag Cine award, is coming up with a new movie named Bapu.

Known for his inclination towards prevailing sensitive issues which are somehow related to kids, Das was able to justify the Consequence in the eyes of juries of many renowned film festivals. To name a few -Port Blair International Film Festival 2021, Indo-French International Film Festival 2021, Goa International Film Festival 2021, Official Selection at Megafix Film Awards, International Film Festival of Andaman and Nicobar 2021, Golden Leaf International Film Festival, Mumbai Independent Film Festival, Gangtok International Film Festival, Golden Peacock International Film Festival, Tekka International Film Festival, Reels International Film Festival, Uruvatti International Film Festival, KIIFFA (Kashi Indian International Film Festival), Black Swan International Film Festival, Crown Wood International Film Festival, Virgin Spring Cinefest, Calcutta International Cult Film Festival, Cult Critic Movie Awards, Royal Society of Television and Motion Picture Awards, Global Iindia International Film Festival, Ideal International Film Festival, MegaFlix Film Awards, Galaxius Gorakhpur International Film Festival

This crafty director was able to bring out the best in his child artistes. Young Shabnam Borgoyari, the main lead, did tremendous justice to the character while enacting the ongoing technological impact on humans. Her work was duly appreciated in different festivals and Shabnam Borgoyari won as many as six national awards in the child artist category. Again, in the movie Bapu whose mahurat shoot was done on August 20 at Chanaka eco-village near Guwahati, director Chandra Sekhar Das is trying to touch another sensitive issue with a story written by Daibaki Boro.

Deforestation, human-animal conflict, global warming, interaction, and dependency of humans on nature are going to be some of the key areas of emphasis in the movie. It will try to take the audience on a journey amidst nature with the purity of human behavior.

Chandra Sekhar Das’s last movie also received the best editor and best playback singer awards in Prag Cine award. The audience will have to wait for a few months to see some great technical work along with some great music. Both the child artistes in the lead role – Priyanshi Kashyap and Rupjyoti Kakoty –are expected to deliver performances to watch out. Audiences can be assured of some elegant work from many veteran actors like Rajen Phukan. Sujit Debbarma will be the person behind the le, stated a press release.
