GUWAHATI: Actor-singer Zubeen Garg in his recent remark about the growing market of South Indian films said that people should watch the Assamese movies instead of watching dubbed South Indian films.

On Wednesday 20 April, while speaking at a function Zubeen urged the people of Assam to watch and promote movies from their regions and not the South Indian ones.

According to the singer, the dubbed South Indian films that are making massive profits these days make no sense and only show unrealistic scenes.

Zubeen criticised the blockbuster hits KFG by Prashant Neel and RRR by SS Rajamouli which created history at the global box office.

On giving an example the singer asked the crowd in the function if it is possible to throw away a motorcycle with bare hands by a person or if it is possible to just kick the truck so that it would fly away.

The Assamese actor-musician added that such artificial things are not at all possible and these scenes in the movies are simply nonsense.

Zubeen said that people mad at such movies in Assam should stop watching these non-sense movies rather they must switch to Assamese movies.

He further added that Assamese people are not fools to watch the dubbed South Indian films that have no meaning or reality.

He also said that the Assamese people are tigers and not cows to watch such movies from the South film industry.

Moreover, Zubeen who is the heartthrob of Assam guarantees of making good films in Assam in case the citizens of the state guarantee to watch.

On the work front, Zubeen Garg is all set to appear in the Assam-UK action thriller 'Sikaar' directed by Debankar Borgohain. The film is scheduled to release in October this year.
