Korean Music Award 2022: BTS Wins Artist of the Year, AESPA Won Three Major Awards

The South Korean band of Bangtan Boys (BTS) has been experiencing immense success in global music throughout recent years by winning the hearts of fans across the world.

This time the band BTS has come up with another great achievement as it has won the 'Artist of the Year' award in this year's Korean Music Award ceremony.

The 7 members BTS group consists of Jungkook, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, Suga, RM and V each having their own unique skills in music.

Notably, this is the third time that BTS has won the Deasang (grand prize) of Artist of the Year as earlier it bagged the same honour in the years 2019 and 2018.

Their win of the Artist of the Year award in 2018 made history as BTS was the first idol group ever to win the said title.

The South Korean girl K-pop group AESPA won 3 big awards in the Korean Music Awards that include the Rookie of the Year, Song of the Year and Best K-pop Song for the song titled 'Next Level.' The group has made history as it is the first time they succeeded in making the big wins.

In another big win in Korean Music Awards, South Korean actor and singer IU bagged Best Pop Album and Best Pop Song.

The BTS Army has expressed their happiness over the success of their favourite K-pop group and started the celebration of the honour on Twitter.

The band is scheduled to perform in Seoul from 10 March to 14 March for their concert Permission to Dance on stage and this will be the first physical concert after the gap of 2 years.

BTS is likely to attend the Grammys in the month of April this year and then they will be hosting a 4-day concert in Las Vegas.

Recently, a few days ago it was reported that 5 of the BTS members are found infected with COVID-19 and one of the members Jimin had undergone appendicitis surgery.

The Army has expressed its concern over the matter on social media by tweeting numerous tweets. However, the entire group is now doing well and continuing with the rehearsals.
