Guwahati: Reel life villain but real-life hero, Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has been hailed as the messiah of scores of migrant workers who had to face the music when the coronavirus-induced lockdown came knocking. Thus, it comes as no surprise that the actor has received immense love on the occasion of his 47th birthday.
Amid the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, Sonu Sood has sent hundreds of migrants back home through private buses and ensured everyone reached home safely.
On the occasion of Sonu Sood's 47th birthday, Twitter is exploded with heartwarming wishes for the star with fans calling him as the 'real hero' for standing up in the times of crisis and extending help.
"Happy birthday to the real-life hero we have seen in these tough times! Sonu Sood you have won hearts and how! May God bless you with health and lots of happiness", wrote Twitter user Deepak Dhar.
Notably, Sonu Sood has also provided meals to 25,000 migrant workers every single day during the auspicious month of Ramadan.
On Wednesday, he also showed his support to ailing veteran Anupam Shyam, who is admitted to the ICU ward of Lifeline Hospital in Goregaon, Mumbai, due to kidney infection.
On his professional front, Sonu Sood has acted in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Punjabi films. He made his first appearance in 1999 with Tamil films such as Kallazhagar and Nenjinile respectively. Then he was seen playing the villain's role in Telugu film 'Hands Up!' the year after.
In Bollywood, he was first witnessed in 2002 release Shaheed-E-Azam, as Bhagat Singh but it was in Mani Ratnam's Yuva in 2004 and Aashiq Banaya Aapne in 2005 where Sonu Sood was first noticed.
Sonu Sood's last release as the villain was Simba with Ranveer Singh, in which he played the role of Dhruv Ranade -- a villainous turn that is one of the highlights of the mega-blockbuster film.
