The full name of Selena Gomez is Selena Marie Gomez and she was born on July 22 in Texas, U.S. She is a popular American actress and singer and she won an army of young fans as the winsome star of the Disney television series 'Wizards of Waverly Place' (2007–12) as a pop vocalist.

She was named after the famous Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla-Perez. She was seen in the popular children's television series Barney & Friends from 2002-2004. In 2003, she made her debut on the big screen in the movie 'Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over'. After this, she did auditions for the Disney channel, and from there, she got a role in the TV series 'The Suite Life of Zack and Cody'. Gomez got her role in the Disney sitcom 'Wizards of Waverly Place' in 2007 for which she sang the theme song which has stolen the hearts of young teens.

During her adulthood, she was in a relationship with the renowned pop singer Justin Bieber and this couple was ruling the internet, and youngsters used to love them both. Gomez was also philanthropy and her works were mostly accomplished through UNICEF. She was appointed as a goodwill ambassador in 2009. In 2015, she was experiencing hardships as she was diagnosed with lupus and for severe complications for it; she had to go through a kidney transplant in 2017.
