Guwahati: Dr. Mithun Bhartia, the only trained sexologist in the entire Northeast received ‘Dronacharya Award’ for Sexual Medicine from Minster of Health Ashwin Choubey in New Delhi on August 8, 2019 at CME Excellence Summit and Awards.
A specialist in diabetes, thyroid and trained sexologist, Dr. Mithun Bhartia returned from England after working there for 12 years. He also represents India at the worldwide AGP Clinical Academy which spearheads the latest innovative methods to treat and monitor Diabetes.
He also brings with him the world-class expertise in the field of sexual problems, diabetes, thyroid and other hormonal issues.
Dr. Bhartia was also awarded the ‘Rising Star’ at the International Symposium on diabetes held at Mumbai on January 2016.
He has also been awarded the Zongniotti Newman Prize in Chicago 2013 by the International Society of Sexual Medicine for his work on Testosterone, Diabetes and Erectile Dysfunction.
It may be mentioned that Continuing Medical Education (CME) across India ensures the continuance of a quality healthcare workforce. The initiative also engages policymakers, the fraternity of doctors, pharma organizations, regulatory bodies, medical organizations and societies, publishers and knowledge partners, and allied organizations who are ensuring that CME initiatives achieve their objectives in India.
