New Delhi: In a major development, China has delivered an advanced warship to Pakistan, a frigate with stealth capabilities, the dragon has ever manufactured.
According to Chinese local media, this warship has been built by China Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSAS) and the warship was handed over to the Pakistan Navy at a commissioning ceremony in Shanghai.
Reportedly, the China will build three more warships for the Pakistan as there is an agreement between the two countries for the same.
''The completion and delivery of the ship is another major achievement of China-Pakistan friendship,'' CSSAS said in a statement on Monday.
According to Pakistan Navy statement, Pakistani Ambassador to China Moin ul Haque has said that the commissioning of PNS Tughril marks the beginning of a new chapter in Pakistan-China friendship that has matured with the test of time.
According to report in the Global Times, the warship has been named as 054A/P Taghril (Pakistan Naval Ship-Tagril). This ship is quite advanced and capable of carrying out many types of activities at the same time.
The ship is equipped with features like land to land, land to air fire capability, and also under sea surveillance. Apart from this, it is believed to be very modern in terms of combat management. It is also equipped with modern self-defense techniques.
