New Delhi: Tesla Chief Elon Musk has challenged Russian President Vladimir Putin to single combat over Ukraine.

Taking to the micro-blogging site twitter, Elon Musk tweeted, '' I hereby challenge Vladimir Putin to single combat. Stake is Ukraine."

Interestingly, Elon Musk has been criticizing Russia attack on Ukraine ever since the former attack Ukraine. Not only this, but Musk had earlier activated its internet services through company's Starlink satellites.

The move came after Ukrainian deputy prime minister to help the country keep access to the internet amid the Russian invasion.

However, this is the first time that he has challenged Putin for a contest.

The Tesla chief has been openly supporting Ukraine. Musk, who always hit the headlines for his unique lifestyle and statement, has not only used his social media platform to speak on behalf of the people of Ukraine, but he has supported them in more concrete ways.

According to reports, Musk has sent several shipments to Starlink Internet stations to help Ukrainians to stay in touch with the world. He has also quietly sent some Tesla Power walls to Ukraine to help the war-torn country.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24 since then two rounds of talks have taken place between the two countries but eventually it failed to generate any favourable outcome so far.

Reportedly, the United Nations (UN) has recorded at least 596 civilian deaths since the invasion, though it believes the true toll is much higher.

Following the war, millions of people have fled their homes, with more than 2.8 million crossing into Poland and other neighbouring countries.
