Firefighters In New York Rescue 39-Year-Old Naked Man Trapped Inside Theatre Wall

As per Syracuse.com, after determining the location of the trapped person, the fire fighter officials cut through drywall and tile to free the man.

New York: In a bizarre incident, the Syracuse fire department rescued a 39-year-old man on Friday who was trapped inside the walls of a theatre in Syracuse, New York and spent nearly two days.

According to local media, the person was heard banging on the walls and pleading for help following which the firefighters were called around 11:30 GMT which is 7:30 in local time.

In an official statement on social media platform Facebook, the Syracuse fire department said it used a fibre optic camera to know about the exact location of the person by drilling a hole in the wall.

"Drilled a hole in the wall and utilised a fibre-optic camera" to determine the exact location of the trapped person,'' it said.

As per Syracuse.com, after determining the location of the trapped person, the fire fighter officials cut through drywall and tile to free the man.

Reportedly, the trapped person was believed to have entered the theatre two or three days prior.

However, it is yet to be ascertain that how he got access to the area behind the wall.

Meanwhile, speaking to the local media, the Landmark theatre director Mike Intaglietta claimed that he saw the man wandering around theatre earlier in the week.

"I don't know if he was entering to keep warm or to use the bathroom. I don't know," Intaglietta added.
