Former Pakistani Cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq Undergoes Angioplasty After Suffering From Heart Attack

The former cricket was revealed to have suffered from a mini heart attack after complaining of chest pain for the last 3 days.

Islamabad: On Monday night, former Pakistani cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery after he suffered a mini heart attack.

Haq, who is 51 years old, reportedly had to undergo angioplasty at the hospital yesterday.

According to sources, Haq had to undergo a medical test after complaining of chest pain for the last 3 days. It was found that Haq had suffered a mini heart attack and was immediately taken to the hospital for emergency surgery.

The condition of the former skipper is said to be stable currently. However, he will be kept under observation till his health improves.

Inzamam-ul-Haq has set a record of scoring the highest run in ODI cricket with 11701 runs in 375 matches. He has also scored 8829 runs in 119 matches in Test cricket.

He has also coached the Afghanistan cricket team and had worked as the chief sector in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) from 2016 to 2019.

In 2007, Haq retired from international cricket.

Many fellow cricketers have sent him prayers and good wishes for a speedy recovery.

Harsha Bhogle tweeted, "Wishing Inzamam-ul-Haq all the very best, that he recovers completely and remains part of our game for many many years."
