Asteroid as big as Burj Khalifa to pass by Earth on November 29

Asteroid '153201 2000 WO107' will pass Earth at 1.08 AM on November 29

Washington: The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has confirmed that a huge asteroid, named '153201 2000 WO107' will move past Earth on November 29. The asteroid is as big as Dubai's Burj Khalifa, which is 2,717 ft tall and is the tallest tower in the world.

At present, the asteroid is moving at its maximum speed of around 56,000mph or 90,124 kmph (approx.), and is getting ready to collide with the orbit of the earth.

The asteroid is set to barrel past the earth from a distance of about 4,302,775 km, at around 1.08 AM on November 29. The size of this massive asteroid is between 12,00ft to 2,5700ft across with a diameter of about 2,690 feet (approx.).

The Near-Earth Asteroid (NEA), as the asteroid is classified as, was found by scientists in New Mexico on November 29, 2000. 20 years later, on the same date, it will pass by Earth. It has been termed as 'potentially hazardous.'
