Johnny Depp announced his exit from ‘Fantastic Beasts’ through an Instagram post

California: Johnny Depp will no longer play the role of Gellert Grindelwald in the 'Fantastic Beasts' series, as Warner Bros forced him to quit. The actor announced about the same via Instagram on Friday.

Depp has been in news for losing a libel case against the tabloid, The Sun, who characterised him as a 'wife-beater,' in relation to his treatment to his ex-wife Amber Heard.

The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' fame actor, Depp took to Instagram and posted an honest statement of how he was asked to exit the Fantastic Beasts franchise.

Depp also thanked everybody who supported him during his tough times.

Besides announcing his exit from the Fantastic Beasts and thanking his supporters, he also mentioned that he will continue his fight to tell the truth.

He wrote, "The surreal judgment of the court in the U.K. will not change my fight, to tell the truth, and I confirm that I plan to appeal," Depp continued in his Instagram post. "My resolve remains strong and I intend to prove that the allegations against me are false. My life and career will not be defined by this moment in time."

His fans and supporters around the world were upset after his announcement. However, most of them have left inspiring comments on his Instagram post and asked him to keep fighting.
