This Game Developer Company Gifted PS5, iPad, iPhone to Every Worker

The company gifted gaming consoles like Play Station 5 and Nintendo Switch, Graphics Cards, iPhones, iPad as gifts for employees' performance in 2020.

SHANGHAI: MiHoYo, a Chinese game developer company, has doled out rewards like iPhones and iPads for its employees. The company gifted employees with tech gadgets like iPhones, iPad, and the PS5 for their performance in 2020.

MiHoYo is best known as the game developer behind the popular open-world action role-playing game Genshin Impact.

According to reports, MiHoYo, a Shanghai-based company gifted gaming consoles including Play Station 5 and Nintendo Switch, Graphics Cards, iPhones, and iPad. This giveaway was a part of the company's annual meeting where the employees of the company were gifted with these high-end gadgets. The company used a lottery system for equal distribution of the gadgets.

A Twitter user by the name of Daniel Ahmad (@ZhugeEX) informed about the massive giveaway by the company on Twitter. He wrote, "MiHoYo, the developers of Genshin Impact, held their annual employee meeting where they gave away a bunch of electronics to employees in a lottery. Essentially a thank you for the successful year the company had."

He also shared pictures of the gifts and revealed that the gifts include PS5's, Switches, Apple products, RTX GPU's and more. According to reports, the company also gave away GeForce RTX Graphics Cards along with the iPhones and iPad.

Daniel in his tweet revealed that "MiHoYo gave away these items to all employees, but due to limited stock they employed a lottery."

MiHoYo has currently employed around 1500 people. The company was founded in 2012 by three students from Shanghai Jiao Tong University who decided to develop games based on their love of anime.

Meanwhile, tech giant Sony has announced that it sold over 4.5 million units of PS5 in the launch quarter.

The latest PlayStation 5 is priced at Rs 49,990 and Rs 39,990 for the digital edition. This next-generation gaming console is a tough competition to the new Microsoft's Xbox line up.

Sony has said that it has not been able to fully meet the customer demand for the gaming console. However, they will continue to do everything to ship as many units as possible to customers.
