US Presidential Elections: Joe Biden leads over Donald Trump, nail biter finish expected

Washington: Some nail-biting moments. The United States is on the edge as the counting is underway for the Presidential Elections of 2020. The battle for the White House is on between US President Donald Trump and Democratic party challenger Joe Biden.

It is absolutely neck and neck. Biden is leading over Trump with 49.9% votes against Trump's 48.5% vote. More than 100 million US citizens have cast their votes. To win the White House, the candidate must win at least 270 electoral votes. Biden has 225 electoral votes as compared to 213 electoral votes of Donald Trump.

Joe Biden has captured 18 states, including California, New York, and Washington D.C. Trump has captured 23 states including big prizes like Florida and Texas, and also Ohio, Missouri among others.

The United States is witnessing a historic election as the voter turnout indicates the largest in a century. According to the United States Election Project, in Colorado, Hawaii, Montana, Oregon, Texas, and Washington State — the turnout has been more than the 2016 polls.
