7 Indians killed in Pakistan shelling, including 4 soldier and 3 civilians

Ceasefire violations were reported in various parts of Uri town in Jammu & Kashmir

Srinagar: Four soldiers along with three civilians were killed in a major flare-up along the Line of Control, in ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops in several areas in north Jammu and Kashmir. The incident took place on Friday. The Pakistani forces used weapons like mortars.

A sub-inspector of Border Security Force (BSF) was killed while a jawan was injured in the Haji Peer sector. Two army soldiers were killed in the Nambla sector in Baramulla district by Pakistani firing.

Another two civilians were killed in Kamalkote sector in Uri area of Baramulla district. A woman was killed in Balkote area in Haji Peer sector of Uri.

However, the Indian side retaliated too, and army sources said that there were casualties on the Pakistani side.

Around 6-7 soldiers from Pakistan were killed, and 10-12 were injured, Indian Army sources said.

Apart from various places in Uri, ceasefire violations were reported from Keran sector of Kupwara district and Izmarg in Gurez sector of Bandipora district.
