7-year-old surpassing adults as the youngest Grandmaster

Currently, a student of class 2, Abhijita began writing at the tender age of 5 years.

New Delhi: Abhijita, a 7-year-old prodigy has been recognised as the world's youngest author by the International Book of Records, while the Asia Book of Records has conferred on her title of the 'Grandmaster in Writing.'

According to the India Book of Records, she happens to be the youngest author of both poetry and prose. Her book titled 'Happiness All Around' is an anthology of short stories and poems with globally acclaimed illustrations.

This interesting book gives the readers an insight into the cognitive ability and interests of a 7-year-old child. The illustrations reflect her fertile world of imagination.

Writing is the elixir of life for Abhijita. Belonging to the 3rd generation of the renowned poet duo-Rashtrakavi Maithilisharan Gupt and Santkavi Shri Siyaramsharan Gupt, creativity is fused in her veins.

The explosion of her work took place during the COVID-19 lockdown when school was closed; it served as a medium to maintain positivity. Completely unaware that this would end in her 'Grandmaster' title.

Abhijita is the only daughter of Ashish Gupta, a chartered accountant by profession, and Anupriya Gupta, who is an engineer-turned-entrepreneur. The family lives at Ghaziabad.

Her book 'Happiness All Around' is for children-specific only. The book is published by Invincible Publishers and is available both as a hard copy and a Kindle edition.

Her next book is about her views on the COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on the children.
