Adar Poonawalla lauds PM Modi's vision on providing COVID-19 vaccines to global community

Poonawalla had earlier asked the government if they had ₹ 80,000 crore to buy and distribute the vaccine to everyone in India.

A day after questioning the Centre on its production and distribution plans of COVID-19 vaccines, Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla on Sunday lauded the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on providing vaccines to the global market, after Modi's speech at the United Nations General Assembly on COVID-19 vaccines.

Taking to Twitter, Poonawalla also lauded Modi's vision on providing vaccines to the global community at the UN General Assembly.

This comes after Poonawalla had asked the government on Twitter if they had ₹ 80,000 crore to buy and distribute the vaccine to everyone in India.

Serum Institute is the world's largest manufacturer of vaccines by volume and which is conducting trials of COVID-19 vaccine candidates ahead of mass production.
