New Delhi: Air India has cancelled its Delhi-Moscow flight over the heightened threat perception amid the Russia-Ukraine war.

"Dear fellow citizens. We draw your attention that the Indian airline Air India has stopped selling tickets on the Delhi-Moscow-Delhi route. The prospects of resuming flights of this airline to Russia are uncertain at the moment. According to Air India, passengers are entitled to a full refund for the cancelled flights," news agency TASS quoted the Russian embassy as saying.

However, officially there is no word from Air India so far.

Before the announcement, Air India operated two flights to Russia.

Reportedly, it is believed Air India has taken this decision following the activities happening in and around Russia due to which international insurance companies have refused to give insurance on aircraft flying in Russian skies.

Due to the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, the situation in Ukraine is very bad as there is an atmosphere of panic among the masses.

Notably, more than 40 days have passed since the ongoing war between the duo and thousands of people have lost their lives.
