Arvind Trivedi Who Played 'Raavan' In Ramanyan Passes Away At 82

The veteran actor who was 82 years old has passed away after suffering from a heart attack on Tuesday.

Mumbai: On Tuesday, veteran actor Arvind Trivedi had passed away after suffering from a heart attack in the late evening. Trivedi was 82 years old.

The veteran actor is popular for his role of 'Raavan' which he played in the mythological show "Ramayan" that aired in 1986.

As per the statement of his nephew, Kaustubh Trivedi, the actor had not been in his best health for a long time. He died in his residence which is located in the suburban part of Kandivali in Mumbai at 10 pm.

Speaking to the press, Kaustubh Trivedi said, "He had a lot of age-related health issues and was not keeping well. He was in the hospital earlier and had come home only recently. He died of a heart attack at his residence around 10-10.30 pm."

On Wednesday morning, his last rites were performed at the Dahanukar Wadi cremation ground in Kandivali.

From 2002 to 2003, Trivedi was working in the Central Board for Film Certification as its chief.

Arvind Trivedi was a part of about 300 films in Hindi and Gujarati in which he played multiple roles. He rose to fame after he portrayed the character of 'Raavan' in the hit TV mythological show of 1986 'Ramayan'.

Trivedi also served as the Member of Parliament elected from the Sabarkatha constituency till 1996.
