Assam CM Praises Narendra Modi For Highest Approval Rating Recognition

A survey was conducted by The Morning Consult as per which Prime Minister Narendra Modi has the highest approval rating among the top 13 leaders across the globe

GUWAHATI: Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for getting a recognition of having the highest approval rating among the top 13 leaders in the world.

A survey was conducted by The Morning Consult as per which Prime Minister Narendra Modi has the highest approval rating among the top 13 leaders across the globe. Modi, whose approval rating is 70 per cent, is ahead of many global leaders. These include Mexican president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, and United States President Joe Biden. The list also includes a few prominent leaders including Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Canada Prime Minister Trudeau, United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Jonson and Brazilian President Jaire Bolsonaro among others.

Narendra Modi's approval rating (70 per cent) has increased substantially in the last couple of months. It was 66 per cent in June. The other leaders with their approval ratings are Lopez Obrador (64 per cent), Draghi(63 per cent), Merkel (52 per cent), Biden (48 per cent), Morrison (48 per cent), Trudeau (45 per cent), Jonson (41 per cent), Bolsonaro (39 per cent), Moon (38 per cent), Sanchez (35 per cent), Macron (34 per cent) and Suga (25 per cent). Modi's approval rating had touched the peak (84 per cent) in May last year just after the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic outbreak in India.

Born On September 17, 1950, Narendra Modi was the chief minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014. In the year 2014, he became the Prime Minister of India. He is the 14th Prime Minister of the country.
