Ayodhya: Large display of Ram Lalla Idol unveils at the inauguration of Ayodhya Ram Temple

Vishva Hindu Parishad Reveals First Image of Iconic Idol Ahead of Pran Pratishtha Ceremony

AYODHYA: In a landmark publication, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has released the first images of divine idol Ramlalla Murthy, carved in black stone and adorned with golden bows and arrows. The unveiling, which comes three days before the ‘Prana Pratishtha’ scheduled for January 22, is a major step towards the inauguration of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya.

The 51-inch idol of Lord Rama, depicted as a five-year-old boy, stands in the temple sanctuary, reflecting spiritual significance Vishva Hindu Parishad chief Sharad Sharma spoke about the donation of the idol, and unveiled it that it stands in great pose, eyes covered with red cloth and wreathed with roses. The idol, skillfully handcrafted by Mysore-based artist Arun Yogiraja, arrived at the temple on January 17 amid ritual prayers led by the Sri Rama Janabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust.

A special ritual signifying dedication, the landmark resolution, by trust member Anil Mishra emphasized the dedication of the statue for the welfare of the nation and mankind. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the grand ceremony on January 22 and the temple will be opened to the public the next day.

As the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ rituals continue, Ayodhya is buzzing with anticipation. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak stressed that all arrangements including infrastructure, medical facilities and medicines have been carefully planned.

Acknowledging the possible presence of devotees, the health department has stepped up preparations and in collaboration with the temple trust has conducted first aid at 16 key locations in the venue. Ayodhya Medical Director Dr Sanjay Jain spoke about the medical preparations made, including two hospitals with capacity of 10 and 20 beds, 40 standard ambulances and 190 beds reserved for emergencies including emergency.

In the event of a medical emergency during the ceremony, participants will initially be treated at the hospitals on hand, and if necessary, arrangements will be made for further care at Sri Ram Hospital. The grand unveiling of the Ramlalla statue, which marks the end of years of dedication and commitment for the construction of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, is set for an exciting and historic event.
