NEW DELHI: As per the RBI (Reserve bank of India) calendar, there is no festival in June and most of the banks of the states will remain open in the month of June, just excluding the second Saturday and the Sundays.
Banks in the country usually follow the gazette holidays and during public holidays all banks remain close and some holidays differ from state to state.
People who have work can schedule their plans for the June month and visit the banks as per their convenience as all banks shall remain open.
Notably, there would be just 2 bank holidays in this month- June 2nd and June 15th.
On the 2nd of June, it is Maharana Pratap Jayanti and the banks will remain close in Shimla.
On June 15th, it is Y.M.A. day, Guru Hargobind Ji's birthday and Raja Sankranti. Banks will remain close in places Aizawl, Bhubaneswar, Jammu and Srinagar.
As per RBI, bank holidays are divided into 3 main categories- Holiday Under Negotiable Instruments Act; Holiday Under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday; and Bank's Closing of Accounts.
1. 2 June- Maharana Pratap Jayanti.
2. 15 June- Y.M.A. DAY/ Guru Hargobind Ji's birthday/ Raja Sankranti.
1. 11 June- Saturday.
1) 5 June- Sunday.
2) 12 June- Sunday.
3) 19 June- Sunday.
4) 26 June- Sunday.
