NEW DELHI: The faculty members in the Banaras Hindu University have become the topic of discussion after his activity of editing the face of Lord Ram and his wife.
A massive controversy has arrived after the BHU professor has put his image on the painting of Lord Ram and his wife's face on the image of Goddess Sita.
The artwork of Lord Rama was exhibited at a visual arts exhibition organized at Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi.
The professor has been identified as Amresh Kumar who serves as an assistant professor in the Faculty of Visual Arts at BHU (Banaras Hindu University).
This act by the professor brought extreme controversy as the students expressed their anger on replacing the faces of Hindu God and Goddesses.
The student accused Amresh Kumar of hurting the religious sentiment with this act of replacing the faces of God and Goddess.
The students from the University demand Kumar to be charged for inciting religious sensitiveness. Several students insisted that action must be taken against the professor.
However, the BHU university administration has not interfered in the matter. The administration is continuing to be silent on this controversy.
The students even warned that if required action against the professor is not taken immediately then they will start protesting. According to the students, such an act hurting religious sentiment is not acceptable.
Kumar explains himself by saying that whatever he did is not a big deal according to him as Lord Ram belongs to all. He then refuses to answer further questions.
Kumar also said that he and his families are enthusiastic devotees of the Hindu God Lord Ram. At present, the professor is facing extreme outrage from students and other worshippers of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita.
