Guwahati: Hours after Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh declared that there will be no CBI probe into Sushant Singh Rajput's death, BJP MP and former Union Cabinet Minister Subramanian Swamy came forward with evidence supporting that Sushant was murdered. With the proof in his hands, Swamy says that Sushant's death was murder and not suicide.

In the evidence provided by Subramanian Swamy, a list of factors supporting suicide and murder theory was given. According to the list, if Sushant had committed suicide due to depression and non-existence on social media, he could have been murdered because of the location, length of ligature mark, mark on the neck not matching with the cloth used, various marks on the body, CCTV outage, missing room duplicate key, his manager Disha Salian's suicide, changing SIM card, no financial crisis, servant changing statement, among other things. The factors in Swamy's list support the murder theory rather than the suicide theory. He shared a copy of the list on Twitter.

Commenting on the recent developments in the case, Swamy tweeted, "If Bihar Police is serious about having a say in the investigation into the unnatural death of Sushant Singh Rajput then there is no alternative to a CBI probe since the police of two states cannot separately investigate the same crime."

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi acknowledged the letter sent to him by Subramanian Swamy on July 15. In the letter, Swamy urged CBI investigation in actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. "I have received your letter of July 15, 2020," read Modi's acknowledgment letter. It is important to note that in his letter Swamy had alleged that big names in Bollywood with the help of dons in Dubai are asking Mumbai Police to cover up the death and call it voluntary suicide.

In another letter, Swamy has urged the PM to employ the NIA and the ED to investigate the matter. "In my latest letter I have requested the PM to direct the Enforcement Directorate and NIA be asked to investigate the circumstances leading to the mysterious death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Subsequently, we can have a SIT consisting of CBI and these two national agencies", Swamy wrote in a tweet.

Earlier today, a three-judge bench, headed by Chief Justice of India SA Bobde, has dismissed a petition seeking a CBI enquiry in Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. The petition, filed by one Alka Priya, demanded a CBI probe into the incident.
