New Delhi: With the completion of voting for all the phases of the UP Assembly elections, all eyes are now on the result which will come on March 10. However, before the results, several TV channels have stormed the internet with their exit polls.
In most of the exit polls of these channels, the BJP alliance can be seen getting a majority easily. At the same time, there is an exit poll which is completely opposite to all these. In this exit poll, the BJP alliance is losing and the Samajwadi alliance seems to be getting more seats than the majority, crossing the 200 mark.
According to Deshbandhu's exit poll, the BJP alliance is getting only 134 to 150 seats out of 403 in UP. That is, it is losing two hundred more seats than the last election. Samajwadi Party alliance seems to be getting 228 to 244 seats.
The BSP is getting 10 to 24 seats in Deshbandhu's exit polls while on the other hand, Congress may get only 1 to 9 seats and others 6 seats.
However, according to the preliminary results of the Poll of Exit Polls, the BJP may retain power in Uttar Pradesh, while in Punjab, the seat seems to be going to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) from the hands of the Congress. In Uttarakhand and Goa, the BJP can get a tough fight from the Congress, although in Manipur, the BJP can be successful in forming the government again.
According to the Poll of Exit Polls, there is a possibility of BJP returning to power in Uttar Pradesh, while the Samajwadi Party will be able to touch the figure of about 150 seats. It further said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) can get a majority in Punjab, and the Congress, which is currently in power, may have to be content with only 25 seats.
In Goa also, according to the Poll of Exit Polls, a fierce contest can be seen between the Congress and the ruling BJP, and both the parties can stay away from the majority.
