Bomb Blast in Delhi's Rohini Court, One Person Injured

NEW DELHI: On Thursday, an explosion was reported in Delhi's Rohini Court, injuring at least one person.

According to a media source, the Fire Department got a call at 10.40 a.m. about the mystery blast within Chamber No. 102 and dispatched at least seven fire trucks to the scene.

According to the authority, the incident was of modest strength, and the injured individual was evacuated to a local hospital before the fire trucks arrived. According to the official, no one was hurt in the event.

Meanwhile, all court proceedings were halted following the event, according to a lawyer. Pranav Tayal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini), was spotted at the scene analysing the situation. People were fearful and panicked, according to sources, but the situation is now under control. 

Although it was first assumed that a laptop in courtroom 102 exploded, top Delhi Police officers have confirmed that the explosion was caused by a low-intensity explosive. An improvised explosive device (IED) and a tiffin-like object were discovered at the scene.

In an official statement, the Delhi Police claimed, "A little low-intensity explosion in a laptop bag occurred at Rohini court complex about 10.30 a.m. The region has been surrounded by a perimeter. forensic and NSG teams are examining and inspecting it."

The special squad of the Delhi Police is investigating the incident. The Special Commissioner of Police for Law and Order looked into the incident. A National Security Guard (NSG) team was also sent.
