CBSE class 10th & 12th board exam dates to be announced on Dec 22

New Delhi: Official sources said that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams schedule for classes 10 & 12 will be announced on December 22. The proposed CBSE classes 10 & 12 exams will be held through paper-pen mode.

Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the Union Education Minister is going to interact with the teachers around the country on December 22 (Tuesday), and is likely to make an important announcement about the CBSE exams schedule.

A part of the Central government's initiative to conduct the final exams for classes 10 and 12 amidst this pandemic, Pokhriyal has planned for a three-way dialogue with the teachers, parents and students across the country. The discussions will be carried out through webinars on the three days.

The CBSE officials have also clarified that the board exam will be through offline mode not be online.

The concerned authorities have been holding discussions with the stakeholders regarding the examination process. The schools and colleges around the country are to resume normal classroom teachings for various classes in December 2020 and January 2021.

Everything related to classroom operations as well as registrations for board examinations were being conducted in the virtual mode till now.

Pokhriyal has earlier said, "Online education has become a big challenge for students who have not attended schools and colleges for the last nine months owing to Covid-19 pandemic. But the students should always be ready to turn this challenge into an opportunity."

After discussing with the stakeholders in the coming days, Pokhriyal will review various exams, which are to be held in different states and Union Territories.

After the health protocol orders are issued by the Ministries of Health and Home Affairs, a detailed plan will be chalked out by the authorities.
