Delhi: The Central government has prohibited the export of alcohol-based hand sanitizers due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Informing this, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) in a press release said, "Alcohol-based hand sanitizers are prohibited from exports."
This move of the government is meant to increase the availability of hand sanitizers in the domestic market.
Sanitizers are an essential component in the fight against the deadly infection as these are used as a disinfectant to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Sanitizers have come up as a frontline defense against the infection of coronavirus.
