Chennai: On Sunday, the police arrested a 44-year old man in Chennai after a complaint was filed against him for allegedly sending lewd images and videos to his son's school WhatsApp group.
According to the police, the complaint was filed by the headmaster of the school in Avadi. The headmaster expressed that obscene pictures were being sent to the group by the contact number of one Class 6 student who was included in the group.
After a probe, it was revealed that the videos and images were sent by the father of the Class 6 student. The police shared this news in a press release.
The release also stated that the man have been arrested by the police and remanded to custody.
In other news, a shocking incident had taken place in Chennai last month.
Two sisters in Chennai were arrested by the police after they allegedly allowed a shopkeeper to rape their minor daughters and record the video of the incident as a payment for the goods the sisters has purchased from the shop. The shopkeeper raped three friends of the minor daughters of both the sisters and filmed it. The police also arrested the shopkeeper.
According to police, they conducted a raid in the shop of one Perumal (48) on a tip-off to seize banned tobacco products which he was selling. During the raid, police seized tobacco items and the mobile phone of the shopkeeper.
It was during the investigation that the police found obscene videos of children in the shopkeeper's phone. It was later revealed that the shopkeepers had been abusing the five children for six months.
