PATNA: Amid the ongoing Bihar Assembly polls, questions are being raised over the demise of Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan. Hindustani AwamMorcha (HAM), a part of the National Democratic Alliance, has demanded a judicial probe into Paswan's death.

Former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi's party HAM's spokesman Danish Rizwan has written to Prime Minister NarendraModi in this regard. Demanding a judicial probe into Paswan's death, Rizwan wrote: "Everyone is sad from the death of Ram Vilas Paswan. But, the very next day of death, his son ChiragPaswan was seen shooting a video and smiling."

Rizwan also questioned that despite being a Union Minister, why was Ram Vilas Paswan's medical bulletin not released.

Reacting angrily to the accusations, Chirag Paswansaid ,"Jitan Ram ManjhiJi must tell me. Didn't he call up my father when he was hospitalised and speak to him? If he was so concerned about his health, he should have come and met him at the hospital."

Chirag says it is a new low in politics. "Now they [his opponents] have begun to do politics on my father's death. This shows they are bereft of any real electoral issues."

Rizan wrote in the letter that it should be ascertained that on whose request a medical bulletin was not issued. (IANS)
