Jaipur: Just a few days after NEET bra removing row, another similar despicable incident of this sort has cropped up.
As the REET recruitment exam began in the Dungarpur district on July 23, a number of stringent measures were taken regarding the entry of the candidates into the examination centres.
The candidates who appeared for the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher (REET) 2022 were instructed to remove their dupattas to prevent cheating.
According to reports, the exam checking body resorted to measures like cutting sleeves and removing dupattas of the female candidates. The checking process was so strict that salwar buttons were cut and sari pin was removed and they went as far as to remove the bandages from their wounds.
This did not go down well with the aspirants, who complained that they had to face a lot of problems.
Notably, a total of 32 examination centres were set up in Dungarpur district of Rajasthan for this year's REET and the candidates had started arriving at these centres as early as 6 in the morning.
Candidates first had to check the room number along with their roll number on the list stamped outside the examination center.
Police teams were deployed at all the centers since morning for the purpose of checking. The entrance of the candidates to the examination centre started from 8.30 pm, but before that the aspirants had to undergo the rigorous process of getting themselves checked.
However, before the aspirants could enter the examination hall, they were asked to make separate queues for boys and women, who were individually checked.
In the city's Modern School, MB School, BEd College, Gurukul, Maharawal School, Kishanlal Garg School, the dupattas of women and girls were removed and kept with the exam conducting authorities.
The checking was strict so much so that the aspirants were told to remove their mangalsutras, bangles, hair clips, slippers, and shoes.
REET examination is scheduled to be held on July 23 and 24, 2022 in 2 sessions. The REET Level-1 exam 2022 will hire candidates to teach students from classes 1 to 5 while the REET Level-2 exam 2022 is to hire candidates to teach students from classes 6 to 8.
