Deepika Padukone tests positive for COVID-19

Bengaluru: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has tested positive for COVID-19. While the actress hasn't posted any update about this, she tested COVID positive on Tuesday (May 4). Currently, she is with her family in Bengaluru.
The report stated that earlier in the day, Deepika's father and ace badminton player Prakash Padukone was hospitalised after suffering from prolonged fever. Along with him, Deepika's mother and sister Anisha have also been tested COVID positive. Her father has been recovering from the infection at a hospital in Bengaluru and he is likely to be discharged later this week, according to a report.
Vimal Kumar, his close friend, said, "Around 10 days back, Prakash, his wife (Ujjala) and second daughter (Anisha), they developed symptoms and got themselves tested and the results came out to be positive He is okay now. All his parameters are fine, his wife and daughter are at home and he too will be hopefully discharged in 2-3 days."
Deepika Padukone had recently posted a number of mental health helpline numbers on her social media account and shared, "As millions of us (me and my family included) strive to stay afloat, let us not forget that our emotional well-being in this current crisis, is equally important! Remember, You Are Not Alone. We are in this Together. And most importantly, there is Hope!"
However, last month, Deepika and Ranveer Singh were snapped at the Mumbai airport. The duo was flying down to Bengaluru to spend some time with her family there.
As per the source, Deepika has a host of films lined up. She will be seen sharing the screen with husband Ranveer Singh in 83. Ranveer is playing the role of Kapil Dev in the film while Deepika will be seen playing his wife Romi Dev. She will also be seen in Shah Rukh Khan's Pathan.
