Deepika Padukone's manager summoned by NCB in 'drugs probe'

Deepika Padukone's manager Karishma Prakash and a talent management agency's CEO Dhurv Chitgopekar have both been summoned by the NCB

Mumbai: Deepika Padukone's manager Karishma Prakash and a talent management agency's CEO Dhurv Chitgopekar have both been summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for questioning in connection with its probe into the alleged Bollywood-drug nexus, reports said.

While Chitgopekar is the CEO of KWAN talent management agency, Karishma Prakash is employed with the agency. They are both likely to be questioned on Tuesday afternoon.

This comes after the NCB began an investigation into the drugs angle in actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case.

It needs mention here that Rajput's talent manager Jaya Saha was questioned by the NCB on Monday. During the interrogation, information was received about many persons allegedly having an active role in a "Bollywood-drug nexus", reports said.

Some WhatsApp chats of the persons who were questioned earlier by the NCB suggested a discussion about drugs, he said.

Including Rhea Chakraborty, the NCB has so far arrested more than 12 people while investigation drugs angle in the case of the actor's death.

The 34-year-old Rajput was found hanging at his home in Mumbai on June 14.
