Deepotsav 2020: Celebrations begin in Ayodhya

The city has been decorated like a bride for Shri Ram's "Rajyabhishek"

Ayodhya: Grand Deepotsav celebrations in Ayodhya has begun.

On the auspicious occasion of a Deepotsav 2020 the city of Ram, the grandeur and euphoria like Tretayug is seen alive after centuries.

The city has been decorated like a bride for Shri Ram's "Rajyabhishek". Ayodhya Nagar Nigam has decorated the monasteries, temples, ghats, along with the Surya tatta, and roads of Ram Nagri are illuminated with colorful lights

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with Governor Anandiben Patel, on Friday inaugurated the event in Ayodhya by lighting a 'Diya' at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple.

According to the media report, to mark the return of Ram's to Ayodhya, CM Adiyanath performed the 'Rajyabhishek'. He along with The Governor also performed the 'Rajtilak' (anointment) of Lord Ram.

Speaking at the event CM Adityanath, said, "Our generation is not only fortunate to see the start of the construction of a Ram temple here but we also attended the historic event. In the struggle of 500 years, many saints passed away with a dream to see the start of construction. I thank PM Modi who is the one who implemented the ideology of Ram Rajya," reported by PTI .

The Chief Minister also took to Twitter and wrote, "Just as this holy light of innumerable lamps is illuminating the entire earth by removing darkness, May Lord Shree Rama brings happiness to all our lives removing the sorrows of all beings by the divine aura of Deepotsav."

The grand event "Deepotsav" set a new world record of lighting 5.5 lakh earthen lamps at dusk.
