Lucknow: Diwali or Dipawali is India's biggest festival
of the year. The most popular festivals of Hinduism, the festival of lights,
Diwali is celebrated grandly every year.
This year for the first time Deepotsav will be held
at Ram Janmbhoomi in Ayodhya since the verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri
Masjid land dispute has come, the entire disputed land has been handed over to
the Hindu trust. An event which has been pending for the last 500 years."
'Deepotsav' has been organizing grandly every year
in Uttar Pradesh on the occasion of Diwali by the government of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath.
And this year for the first time Ayodhya will witness a grand Diwali festival. CM Yogi Adityanath had informed in a review meeting that"Over five lakh earthen lamps will be lit in this year's Deepotsav in Ayodhya as part of the celebrations.
Since the celebrations will be held amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the event will have to comply with the coronavirus-related guidelines.
Uttar Pradesh Tourism Minister Neelkanth Tiwari
said This Deepotsav would have been attended by crores this year if the COVID-19 pandemic not been there.
