New Delhi: Not so good news for all you die-hard Harley-Davidson fans.
The company is folding up its India operations.
In a press statement, the company said that it will shut down its manufacturing facility in Bawal, and the sales office in Gurugram will be significantly downsized.
At least 70 employees across India would be asked to leave.
The made in India Harley Davidson models -- Harley-Davidson Street 750 and the Harley-Davidson Street Rod will be discontinued.
Meanwhile, reports are also doing the rounds about Harley-Davidson exploring a strategic tie-up with India's largest two wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp.
The Milwaukee-based US company may enter into a partnership with Hero MotoCorp that would allow the Indian company to import and sell Harley bikes as its sole distributor.
